Easter card class tonight!

Well tonight I'm going to an Easter card class at my local Scrapbook store.  I'm really looking forward to it so stay tuned for pictures of my creations in the morning. :o)  Have a great day! 

Snow in March?!?!?

Well I woke up this morning to find it snowing!?!? Yep, I said snowing!  It is March right?  Saturday temps were in the 60's and now SNOW???? Yikes! 
I hope everybody had a wonderful weekend.  Saturday while the weather was perfect we had a BBQ.  Yummy!  There's nothing like the smell of BBQ and fresh cut grass!  C'mon SPRING!!!! 
Saturday I picked up the newest issue of Creating Keepsakes, as always LOVE IT! 

I usually read the same issue over and over for about a week, my husband thinks I'm crazy.  It seems everytime I look at it I find something new, lol.  Instead of saving back issues I tear out ideas and categorize them in a accordion folder I keep.  I have layouts, techniques, projects, color combo's, journaling ideas, etc.  This helps tremendously when I sit down to scrap or stamp!  If you love Creating Keepsakes magazine be sure to pick up Scrapbooks, Etc.  My absolute favorite mag! 
Tomorrow evening I'm attending a card making class at my local scrapbook store and I can't wait.  We're makin' Easter cards so be sure to hippity hop on over to my blog Wednesday & keep your eye out because I will be sure to post them.

I have really been loving making envelopes to match my hand-made cards.  It really gives it an extra special touch. 



A promise to myself

So my blog got away from me for a VERY LONG time! Sometimes life just spins ya in a whirlwind and you don't know which way is up or down. What in the world has happened?! Well to summarize, I've moved, gotten divorced, re-married, new step-son, new house, new pets, etc. Pretty much a 180 but I have made a promise to myself to keep my blog goin' strong now. I hope you will enjoy it and come back often.

Where have I been?????

I can't apologize enough for putting off my blog lately. Things have been crazy hectic with kids, football practices, school, work, etc. Need I say more? I'm lucky to be in bed by midnight lately. But I've made a promise to myself to get back to my blog! Along with LOTS of other promises. LOL! Numero Uno being to lose weight! Ugh! I looked in the mirror the other day and I was just so sad. With all of the hustle and bustle I've not made a home cooked meal in ages and instead have relied on McDonalds, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, etc. I'm making a decision today to put down the burgers and fries and try to be healthy again. I've been on a downhill slope for the past year and I realize that it's not going to come off overnight because over the past year I've gained approximately 30 pounds. That is so embarrassing. :( Anyway I'm here to tell you that I will be posting lots of new products and pics along my diet journey starting tomorrow. Stay tuned.

FINALLY!

So I finally did some more scrappin' and stampin'! The first project was a frame I got from Michael's for $1. I used Mod Podge and attached patterned paper then used K&C Company chipboard letters to spell out my niece's name! Isn't it cute? The second project was an 8x8 page of me and one of my best friends. It's pretty simple but I love the turquoise and black together.

Ever wonder how people come up with ideas for their scrapbook pages? Well I subscribe to Scrapbooks, etc. and Creating Keepsakes. Every month when I receive my issue I read it front to back then go back through and cut out images of the work in the magazines that I really like and I keep it all in a folder so that when I get ready to do a page of my own I pull out my folder and pick a layout. I cut out layouts that I like along with color schemes. It comes in really handy. So now you know my secret! I'm not really as crafty as I seem! :) Of course I change the layouts to suit my pics and taste cuz there's no way I could do my pages without a little help.

BUSY BUSY BUSY!!!

Well, it was one heck of a busy weekend here. We had FOUR little league games to attend PLUS my brother came home from the Army! Needless to say I did not get much done but Friday night I did get one card made. I just can't stop myself from using my Bella's! I also had a chance to look over the new Stampin' Up! catty!!!!! I've come to the conclusion that I need more MONEY!!! :)
