I took the plunge!

Quick post.........Well it's official, I'm pleased to announce that I am now  Close to my Heart consultant!  I've been contemplating this decision for quite some time.  I am not new to the whole consultant scene as for 5 years I sold Stampin' Up!  They are wonderful company but I felt it was time for me to move on and try Close to my Heart as I have just recently started using their products and I totally fell in love with them.  I never thought I would like "clear" stamps, in fact I boycotted for a while and would not even purchase a set.  Boy was I hard headed! Lol!  Now I LOVE my clear stamps.  I think what I love the most is the fact that you can actually see where you are placing the image therefore it's so much easier to line your images up.  As soon as I get my demo site up and running I will be posting the site addy so that if anybody else would like to take the plunge of trying clear stamps, placing an order, or becoming a demonstrator you may certainly do so.  I would be thrilled to be your consultant!  Gotta run, Happy Stampin'! :o)

New Easter cards

Last night was my card making class at my local scrapbook store.  It's really a great deal.  You pay $20, make 3 cards, and receive a free stamp.  Not to mention I get to interact with other women who share my passion for stampin' and scrappin'.  I also took my new sister-in-law with me and I think it's safe to say she may be addicted now also. :o)  Here are the three cards we made, I apologize that the quality is not the greatest.  For some reason my camera was not cooperating with me this morning. 

Easter card class tonight!

Well tonight I'm going to an Easter card class at my local Scrapbook store.  I'm really looking forward to it so stay tuned for pictures of my creations in the morning. :o)  Have a great day! 

Snow in March?!?!?

Well I woke up this morning to find it snowing!?!? Yep, I said snowing!  It is March right?  Saturday temps were in the 60's and now SNOW???? Yikes! 
I hope everybody had a wonderful weekend.  Saturday while the weather was perfect we had a BBQ.  Yummy!  There's nothing like the smell of BBQ and fresh cut grass!  C'mon SPRING!!!! 
Saturday I picked up the newest issue of Creating Keepsakes, as always LOVE IT! 

I usually read the same issue over and over for about a week, my husband thinks I'm crazy.  It seems everytime I look at it I find something new, lol.  Instead of saving back issues I tear out ideas and categorize them in a accordion folder I keep.  I have layouts, techniques, projects, color combo's, journaling ideas, etc.  This helps tremendously when I sit down to scrap or stamp!  If you love Creating Keepsakes magazine be sure to pick up Scrapbooks, Etc.  My absolute favorite mag! 
Tomorrow evening I'm attending a card making class at my local scrapbook store and I can't wait.  We're makin' Easter cards so be sure to hippity hop on over to my blog Wednesday & keep your eye out because I will be sure to post them.

I have really been loving making envelopes to match my hand-made cards.  It really gives it an extra special touch. 



A promise to myself

So my blog got away from me for a VERY LONG time! Sometimes life just spins ya in a whirlwind and you don't know which way is up or down. What in the world has happened?! Well to summarize, I've moved, gotten divorced, re-married, new step-son, new house, new pets, etc. Pretty much a 180 but I have made a promise to myself to keep my blog goin' strong now. I hope you will enjoy it and come back often.

Where have I been?????

I can't apologize enough for putting off my blog lately. Things have been crazy hectic with kids, football practices, school, work, etc. Need I say more? I'm lucky to be in bed by midnight lately. But I've made a promise to myself to get back to my blog! Along with LOTS of other promises. LOL! Numero Uno being to lose weight! Ugh! I looked in the mirror the other day and I was just so sad. With all of the hustle and bustle I've not made a home cooked meal in ages and instead have relied on McDonalds, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, etc. I'm making a decision today to put down the burgers and fries and try to be healthy again. I've been on a downhill slope for the past year and I realize that it's not going to come off overnight because over the past year I've gained approximately 30 pounds. That is so embarrassing. :( Anyway I'm here to tell you that I will be posting lots of new products and pics along my diet journey starting tomorrow. Stay tuned.
